First Coast Original Music Forum is all about the ORIGINAL MUSIC!

I started this Passion Project in 2019 . We have some really great talent on the First Coast but no true way for everyone to access all the MUSIC, the TALENT, the LOCAL in one place!

My plan is to bring you all styles of Original Music from the First Coast so you can listen and enjoy. Keep in mind, Songwriters and Musicians want to be heard, Our passion as Bands and Artists is to create our own sound, make a statement, tell a story, or even try to develop something that has never been done. The Listeners job is to LISTEN, and WE NEED U!

We will Feature Bands & Artists, on our Facebook Page and introduce New Local and Regional Music.

Joe Senger - Bio

Joe started in an Original Rock Funk Band "LEAF" with his older Brother Billie in Baltimore, Md. 1979 in their inner city row home.

He was 14, and his brother was 22. His brother noticed Joe had a gift for playing the drums (a very good meter), so he bought him a set and made him join the band!  Although they never got the "Contract", they produced some kick ass music. A song called "Food Stamps" has made it all around the world, and has captivated DJ's for the Drum Break on the old 45 RPM Record. Joe was 17 years old when he recorded that track with his drums in their kitchen, while his brother played the Bass in the basement on the first tracks. In recent years the song has been on a Compilation Project in London, and the 45 Record was re-released by Fraternity Records out of NY. (There is a back story to all of this, but it's kind of long.) https://www.baltimoresun.com/citypaper/bcp-blog-1096-20080227-story.html

Joe is a drummer by trade as mentioned above , that's his groove but he began to co-write and produce with his brother at an early age and picked up a Bass Guitar to develop his own songs.

His first solo project in the late 90's was "Stranded Max" a selection of 4 -track basement tapes that he produced in his basement. Next was a Band he formed in York, PA called "The Distractions" around 1999. His first Major Studio Project.

In 2004 Joe took a job here on the First Coast and made this his home. In 2010, He formed "First Coast Friends of Funk" or "FCF of Funk" to bring musicians from different bands together in the studio on the First Coast and create his Funky Original vision.

He has Performed or Recorded with many other Original Bands and Artists in the area including : The Brady Clampitt Band, 747, Gasoline 65, The Johnston Brothers, COLD BLUES and FLO 'N GRITS to name a few. He continues to write, record, and he will never stop.

He has always had a passion for original music, and he gets more joy than you even know from a completed studio project. "It's what we do, right?"

So the Facebook Page is all about that, it's about you, what you create and getting folks to listen.

He truly believes that working together, we can all expand our fan base, and our listeners.

Artists/Bands please help us, help you, it's what this is all about..... Participate with us and please listen to other Artists and Bands!
